Welcome to WritingPlaces
Alicia Gossman-Steeves is a wife, mother of three boys and a step-grandmother to two girls and two boys. “Leece” is in the criminal justice system, on the right side of the bars, as a court clerk. She has also worked as a reporter for a Smallville daily, and as managing editor for three dailies and a weekly agricultural journal. Sadly, Leece became a casualty of the editorial prostitution rampant in today's print newspaper industry, and is now free-lancing.
As a writer, she has had her work published in local publications, A Cup of Comfort Women of the Bible Devotional, and A Cup of Comfort Devotional for Mothers. She is also working on “Jesus and the Android”, a book examining Christ and Christian spirituality in today’s wireless, high tech culture. Alicia blogs at Yahbut: Abundant Living
She is a budding photographer, using a Canon 5D MkII with a few good lenses in her bag, and a Canon 30D as second string. She is working on some photography projects concentrating on southeastern Colorado.
Before her first husband, Gordon, died of pancreatic cancer, Alicia was a stay-at-home mom, pastor’s wife and a part time correspondent for an agricultural newspaper.
She has a B.A. in Sociology from Point Loma Nazarene University and a Master’s degree in Religion with an emphasis in Spiritual Formation from Northwest Nazarene University.
